We had a proper Aussie experience today, cuddling koalas and feeding kangaroos and wallabies. Of course they are all are animals that are here in the wild, but we don't get to see them much (other than Ally, who reports regularly seeing hopping wallabies and having to avoid skidding over in their poo when he plays football at the local Ku-ring-gai High School!!!)We took a picnic and went to the Koala Park just a couple of miles from here to be sure of seeing a few up close and personal - together with dingoes, emus, wombats and possums too...
It was a lovely day - the animals were all so tame, and the koalas are amazingly soft and fluffy - though this cheeky kangaroo decided to not only eat the cheerios in Katy's bag, but also the bag itself! I think he kind of knows he's in the bad books, don't you?
