Cousin time

We have just had Morag and the children here for a few days and have had a lovely time in amazingly good weather - 24 degrees and sunshine - (can this really be Winter??)
The kids absolutely love seeing their cousins, and had a brilliant time getting the train into Sydney yesterday for their first visit to an IMAX cinema (the big one at Darling Harbour). The kids voted to see the new Harry Potter movie, but Morag and I were doubtful about its length and the need to really see the 3D version (could be scary, we decided!) so we over-ruled the majority and took them to see Under the Sea instead.
Well, despite their reservations the kids all loved it, it was extremely well done, and it really felt like all the sea animals/fish/snakes/sharks etc were coming right out of the screen - all the kids were jumping up and trying to 'touch' everything (Morag too, actually)!
Don't they look 'cool'...!

We then had a picnic in Tumbalong Park where the kids were able to run around, before wandering around the harbour and watching some of the street entertainment - in particular a very funny unicycling juggler who kept everyone entertained for a good while.

The sun really was beating down so we all had icecreams, before getting the monorail back to the station and heading home for dinner (but not before doing two laps of the whole monorail system to get our money's worth!!!)

Morag and her children left this afternoon after a picnic and play at Bobbin Head - another lovely day, and we hope it won't be too long before we see them all again!
