Another lovely weekend! Saturday began with William's end of season soccer gala - all the teams pitted against each other - they won one, lost one and drew one, which unfortunately wasn't enough to get through to the next round, so it was quite a short morning out! Back home for a lovely lunch outside, before deciding to make the most of the good weather and head to a beach we hadn't been to before - Balmoral.
Balmoral Beach is only 30 minutes drive away, and is absolutely beautiful - we wondered why we had never been there before! It had a lovely cafe/restaurant right on the waters edge which we earmarked for another time, and a little peninsula reached by a bridge where there were rocks and wonderful trees for the children to climb.
On this peninsula we were even lucky enough to find a young couple, with a table covered with flowers all laid out for a meal for two - and saw the young man propose to the lady!!! I am not sure they bargained for the audience but still, it was very sweet to see!
We resisted the temptation of fish and chips on the beach this time, and headed home (after a paddle and fun on the sand) for a nice evening meal.
Sunday Katy went for a run with her Dad while I took William and Tom to the park, back for a barbecue out on the terrace and then some pottering around the garden in the afternoon. Another lovely, sunny weekend - and Spring just around the corner!
