Well, we are enjoying day after day of hot sunshine here - the pool in the garden has never been more welcome, or more used. I am trying to do 60 laps every other morning - which sounds a lot but isn't really, bearing in mind the pool is probably no more than 12 metres long (must measure it some day...) Still, it's very refreshing and makes a lovely start to the day.
The kids are still on school holidays - only one week to go - so we have been making the most of it. We all headed off to Fagan park on Sunday, armed with a p

un lotion - we hadn't been there before, other than Katy, who went there with the school and had been recommending it ever since. It was lovely, very scenic, with all sorts of gardens and houses from 'around the world' and pathways weaving in and out - so lots of nice exploring to be done. The kids were captivated by the eels and turtles they spotted in the river swimming under the ducks - the eels were biting the ducks' bottoms and making them jump! This tree with the eye in its trunk, spotted by William, was a little freaky, mind you...
