We had a lovely Christmas, even though it wasn't actually as sunny as we had hoped... in fact by about 3pm it had started to rain, and stayed raining for the next three days. Ooops! It didn't dampen our spirits though - the children were overwhelmed with wonderful presents, and we spent the second half of the day with two other families eating, drinking and generally 'being merry'. We all shared the cooking - a huge ham, a huge turkey and all the trimmings - it was a good job we'd decided last minute that we didn't fancy 'prawns on the barbie' after all as the weather was far more suited to the traditional feast, though we did sneak in some prawns for the starter. The weather didn't affect the children either - it may have been raining but it didn't stop them all going in the pool... a fun day was had by all, with a repeat performance on boxing day for all the leftovers... Thanks so much everyone for all the great presents - thank you letters will be on their way soon...
