Wow, can it really be 2010 already? The turn of the Millenium can't really have been ten years ago, can it? I remember New Years Eve 1999 so clearly - we were living on the outskirts of New York with a ten day old baby and could just about make out the city's fireworks from a vantage point near our home... and here we are now in Sydney, two more babies later... the youngest of whom is not even a toddler any more! How time flies, and how life changes...We had a lovely New Year's Eve this year at the home of some friends, Gordon and Dora - Gordon is a kindred spirit of Ally's, being a Glaswegian Rangers Supporter, while Dora is Greek but born and bred here in Aus. They had lots of friends over for the evening, including all the children, and we ate/drank then watched the Sydney Fireworks on the TV at the stroke of midnight accompanied by surround-sound Scottish music - Ally was in his element belting out the words to 'Flower of Scotland' as you can imagine! The kids had a ball, it was the first time they'd ever stayed up to see the New Year in, and they were remarkably brilliantly behaved.
Happy New Year everyone! We hope 2010 brings good health, happiness, and for us... perhaps a new home of our own!
