This is us yesterday enjoying a lazy afternoon with friends on the balcony of the Pacific Club (a private members club) straight across from Palm Beach.
It was beautifully hot and sunny (reached 30 degrees I believe) and we enjoyed pre-dinner nibbles of king prawns, oysters (my first time), caviar, smoked salmon and a selection of cheeses, before the men took the kids across to the beach to play in the waves, while us ladies sat and enjoyed our drinks. They returned to cook a delicious barbecue out on the back lawns which we had just finished eating when this picture was taken - our table does look rather in disarray with the kids' coke and crisp packets scattered about, but it was wonderful!
Saturday we enjoyed an afternoon barbecue with friends too - this time at their home where the kids were able to splash in the pool - what a lazy, decadent weekend!
