Visitors from Afar!

It has been wonderful to have had Granna and Grandad here since last Sunday - after an unfortunate rainy start, the warm and sunny weather has returned and we have enjoyed lots of lovely days out together. Amongst other things, we have spent a fantastic hot day at Avalon beach, where we enjoyed a picnic and icecreams and admired spectacular surf (braving the pool as the surf was too big to allow sea swimming - a very rare occurence); barbecued at Fagan Park (and at home!), and had a lovely lunch just outside Palm Beach (where Daddy and Ally had a game of golf while the kids boogie-boarded). They have been into the city and ventured into the local mall, too.

Ally and I have also had a couple of nights away alone at the Blue Mountains, staying at a historic hotel just up the road from Echo Point - the Mountains were very impressive and we really enjoyed the break away - it was so strange to be only 90 minutes from home though, but for the weather to be sooo much colder.... at that altitude it really did feel like winter... brrrrrr!!!
