So, here I am trying out this blogging thing, having been spurred on by seeing the one Kim has been doing. It really does seem to be a great way of keeping friends and family in touch with all the goings-on, especially now that we are so far away... and allows people to dip in and out, see pictures etc whenever they fancy. I hope I can manage to keep it up!!!
Well, we are now into school holidays here and very much looking forward to a good long Christmas (and Summer) break. It was a busy last week of term (and indeed, end of the school year) for Katy and William - reports have been given out (both excellent, phew!) and there have been Summer and Christmas parties galore - mostly outdoors which is lovely. William had his kindergarten graduation (very sweet and conducted just like a university one) and Katy performed a dance with her friends for the school Talent Quest
Tom did a Christmas show at nursery too, singing a few songs and meeting Santa (who William was convinced was just a 'fake' as he was sure he had a false beard...) Tom too got a 'school report' and is described as "a lovely boy, full of energy and words"... so another chatterbox in the family (can't think where they get it from...)
We also went to see Santa at the big Myer Store in Sydney, who fortunately enough was 'definitely the real one this time' according to William. Katy is no longer a believer but went along with it stoically for her little brothers' sakes.
It's really festive here now but with all the sunshine we still can't quite believe Christmas is just around the corner...
