Happy Birthday Katy!

I have rather neglected this blog lately, and so much has been happening. I enjoyed a lovely weekend away in the Hunter Valley with five girlfriends - we swam in the pool, enjoyed spa treatments, ate, drank and partook in a wine tour - it was wonderful! We returned home in time to join the men and children at the beach for the nippers Christmas party, where Santa arrived on a jetski! Only in Australia...

The schools broke up on the 16th for their long Summer-and-Christmas holiday, with the kids enjoying various end-of-school year and Christmas parties, receiving reports, and coming home laden with school books and work from the year. Then this Saturday we threw a Christmas party at our home for friends - everyone brought a 'plate' and we had a lovely evening dancing, eating and drinking and generally enjoying the festive season.

This Monday of course it was Katy's birthday - it's hard to believe our 'little' girl is now a decade old! She had five friends over for the day, and three of them stayed overnight - she had arranged various games and fun activities herself for them, and they seemed to have a lovely time. Happy Birthday Katy!!!
