We have had another busy week here, but what's new!!? Last weekend we enjoyed two separate barbecues at friends' houses. These seem to consist of loads of kids running around enjoying the fresh air while the adults sit, chat and enjoy a glass of bubbly or two... so are pretty good all round!
Then Katy went away on band camp with the school from Wednesday to Friday - they stayed at the Collaroy Centre - a beautiful conference and outdoor education centre looking out across the sea at Collaroy beach (only about half an hour from here), where 370 of them (all involved in the four school orchestras) had extensive music tuition and tutorials, but also took part in loads of fun outdoor activities - the highlight for Katy was sharing the cabin with 4 fellow year 4s, and 5 year 5s... they didn't get to sleep until 1.30am on the first night apparently!!! She came home exhausted but happy... and slightly better at the flute, too!
Football has continued on Saturdays, with both William and Ally winning their matches this week - and Ally even scoring his first goal in a 'proper' match in 20 years (after all, he does play in defence!) He is now talking about going into the World Masters in October... To top it off, Rangers won in the cup final yesterday too, so there were celebrations all around (Ally and friends watched it... kick-off here was at midnight... so rather a late one...!)
