Once again time is moving too fast for me, with events and occasions passing by so quickly I am not getting time to record them! This last month has seen Tom turn 5 - he had lots of great presents and invited his new school friends to a party at McDonalds where he shared a smash-pinata cake with them all. He's really enjoying being at school and has now finished his first term - it's lovely seeing him learning to read, write and make new friends. He has also started playing football for the Wahroonga Tigers U6 'A' team which he adores - he scored two goals in their first match and one in their second!
William has been doing a lot of sporting activity too. He managed to get into the 'Zone' swimming carnival to represent his school, and was the fastest boy in his age group within the school in the U8 boys freestyle (front crawl) race. Here he is, about to compete, in the school's representative top and cap.

He also received a trophy for cricket on a sunny Sunday afternoon at the end of March - pictured here with his best friend Kamran (you can see on this picture how tall he is getting - we can't seem to keep up at the moment with trousers!...)

Katy ran really well in her school cross country at the end of term, coming in the front 5%, and had fun recently auditioning for a kids' tv show with her friend Jess. They didn't end up getting a place, but they really enjoyed their outing to Fox Studios where they saw all kinds of interesting things backstage and behind the scenes.

It's now the Easter School holidays, and the children and I started the break with a lovely few days up at Boat Harbour with Morag and her family. The weather was beautiful, the surroundings gorgeous, and we had a great time. We managed to fit in so much - the house is just a few steps from the beach, so the kids were able to kayak, swim, rock climb, boogie-board down sand-dunes, snorkel and even fish! We even managed to see our first, real wild koala sitting in a tree - happy days.

What fun it all looks!!! .... and I'm SSOOOOOO impressed with William's fish - clever of you to catch it on camera too (takes me back to Sean going off mackerell fishing with the Cubs at about the same age - he was apparently rather seasick on the boat, but came home so proudly dangling the fish he caught, which I had to promptly grill so that we could all enjoy it! Happy Days indeed! x
