Katy had a lovely birthday on Tuesday, spending the afternoon with three of her friends at Treetop Adventure Park, an adventure course set high up in the trees in a forest about an hour North of home. The girls got togged up in helmets and harnesses, and made their way around the three different courses, from the easiest to the hardest, shouting encouragements and instructions to each other in true team-building style.
I had to do the course too in the name of supervision, as one adult is required per 4 under-16s, but in fact was left way behind to battle on by myself!! They really enjoyed it (the numerous flying foxes through the trees were the best bits) and we stayed for a picnic (and lots of water - it was such a hot day!) before returning home for a waterbomb fight in the garden.
The girls slept over after watching the Twilight DVD (courtesy of Uncle Jon & Auntie Sam), munching pizzas, and enjoying the piece de resistance - the homemade pinata cake!!
Before...
and after.....!!!

Fabulous cake Jenny, looks SO professional! Those treetop courses are so much fun, though we have only done them in the cold, I should think the harnesses might chafe in the heat! Happy days...
ReplyDeleteJust finishing wrapping presents here, we are SO behind for Christmas. Never mind, the thought that counts: will chat on the Big Day!
Lots of love, Kim xxxxxx
