Beach time and teenage friends

A beautiful sunny day today, and the temperatures have definitely gone up a notch - the chill has gone from the evening air and it suddenly feels like Spring. Yippeeee!

The kids and Ally went to the final Rangers match last night, and were back late, so we had a lazy morning in the garden. The kids had an unexpected visitor when a friend's (just-turned-18 year old) son popped by in his snazzy car and asked them if they'd like to go for a drive with him up to see his sister playing soccer just up the road. They were thrilled, piled into his car and returned an hour or two later having not only been to the park, but also to the sweetie shop. What a kind boy!

We then spent another afternoon at the beach - this time at Warriewood, only about 25 minutes away, and with another teenager. Brooke is the kids' babysitter and is doing her HSCs (equivalent to A-levels) - she needed to make a movie for her drama course, so asked to borrow our children for the afternoon to film them on the beach. We all ended up getting involved, and had lots of fun - we look forward to seeing Brooke's final cut!!

  1. You don't really seem to have winters down there do you. Sounds like it's all a lot of fun (though I KNOW a lot of hard work is going on behind the scenes too!) Has life returned to normal now for Alasdair, having seen his beloved Rangers actually set foot, and play the beautiful game, on Oz-soil almost within arms length??
    ... and soon you're Fiji-bound - Enjoy!!!
Much love from the Cross-Krinklies xxxxx
